How to backup and transfer worlds on Minecraft PE.

Android Devices:

  • Get a file explorer FX File Explorer

  • Make sure Minecraft Pocket Edition is closed.

  • Open the file explorer.

  • Go to /sdcard/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds.

  • Select the world you’d like to backup/transfer.

  • Compress/archive it.

  • Move the compressed file to your downloads folder.

  • Plug your device into your computer.

  • On PC something should pop up. Click file explorer.

  • Go to the download folder.

  • Drag the “yourWorldNameHere”.zip to your desktop. (your world is now backed up on your PC.)

  • On Mac you’ll need a program called Android File Transfer.

  • Unlock your device then plug it into your Mac. Android File Transfer will open by itself.

  • Go to download folder.

  • Drag the “yourWorldNameHere”.zip to your desktop. (your world is now backed up on your Mac.)

  • Windows 10 Edition

    • Make sure Minecraft Windows 10 Edition is closed.

    • Go to C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds/.

    • Right click on the world you want to backup.

    • Choose compress.

    • Drag the compressed file to your desktop. (World is now backed up)

    iOS

    • Make sure Minecraft Pocket Edition is closed.

    • Not sure where the files are. Someone with iOS Should tell me how you backup your worlds with and without jailbreak.

    Transferring Worlds

    • Do the backup process.

    • Plug your android device into your PC.

    • Drag the “yourWorldNameHere”.zip to the download folder.

    • Open the file explorer on your android device.

    • Go to download folder.

    • Extract the .zip file to sdcard/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds

    • On Windows extract the .zip file to C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds/.

    • On iOS someone tell me.
